First, there are Mark and Mark All buttons on the toolbar at the top of the StarView screen.
Choosing Mark will send the highlighted dataset(s) to Retrieval where you will configure your request. Choosing Mark All will grab all of the datasets that match the query and send them to Retrieval. This may take a few moments if you have lots of data.
Second, you can right click on a highlighted dataset and choose Mark Dataset(s) from there.
Included in this functionality is the ability to do a Shift-click to highlight multiple records. You can click on the first record in the list you want to mark. Then, holding down the shift key, click on the last in a range of records. This will highlight all records in the interval. Alternatly you can hold down the control key to hilight individual records. This can be done in any table, including the table view window of all retrieved records:
One shortcut here it so use the popup menu and select Choosing Mark Dataset(s) tosend them all to Retrieval rather than go to the mark button in the main window.
Once a dataset is marked it will appear in the retrieval window:
